STARX GOES POP! (A-LISTEN-ONLINE ALBUM)

Hello! It's been some time since I had this idea of creating an 'album' that would be called "Starx Goes Pop!". And the time is now! It expresses a change in my musical direction, going from dance music to more kind of pop/rock stuff. I've collected my best 13 songs (+ 7 more original demos/songs/reworked stuff/Slovak versions) and created a special playlist where you can listen to all the tunes from one link-click below. It will take you straight to my "Starx Goes Pop!" ReverbNation playlist, so make sure you also click "PLAY ALL" up in the right corner of my reverbnation profile. Hope you enjoy! :) Click this =>>> http://www.reverbnation.com/playlist/view_playlist/3304833?page_object=artist_432616

ON THE RADIO IN VEGAS!!!!

Hello, everybody! First of all, let me wish you all the very best for 2011, may all your dreams come true this year!

To me... it started really great with music. I got my 4 songs on rotation on VRADIO due to Andy (I&SON) whose song "EMOtions" was played on that radio as well. He sent me the link and soon voilaaa... 'Aloha My Love' and 'Natural' were played on Monday, 3rd and 'Night So Long' with 'Lunatic World' were played on Wednesday, 5th on the show called "TJ's New Music Cafe - The Bridge" where I was compared to Bryan Ferry! That's a real honor to me! I was also told that we got applause after 'Lunatic World' finished. WOW! Andy did a fantastic job on this song. Unfortunately, due to different timezones it is impossible for me to listen to the show, but I love the feedback! BTW, VRadio is a #1 internet radio in Vegas, and had 1.000.000 clicks in first 4 days of 2011!!! You can check it out here: http://www.indievtv.com/VRadio1.html Special thanks goes to Andy and Kev & TJ from VRadio! ;)

I hope I can bring you some more good music this year. I agreed on some other interesting collaborations, but it's too soon to talk about it now. However, I will let know when there's something new!

Best wishes! :) Marek.

I&SON & ME & "LUNATIC WORLD"

Dear friends! I'm working again with I&SON! Our new song is called "LUNATIC WORLD" and it was written all by I&SON / Andy & Phil. I hope you enjoy the fruit of our collaboration! Sit down and have a listen and think about it. The song is just STUNNING! And I really do like it! Thank you! Marek. :)

PLANS OUT OF THE PLANS

Hi, there, all, I am not sure if anybody's reading this, but I want to inform you about my future plans. The truth is there is NO PLAN. My collaboration with I&SON is over, as it is pretty hard to find time for Andy off I&SON and me to record any new stuff. I&SON contacted me here on RN by the end of December 2009 and they re-recorded the music for my song 'Aloha My Love'. Later, we agreed on re-recording 'Night So Long'. The song 'Natural' was a bit unexpected collaboration. Andy wrote it within 2 days and we had only 3 days to record it. It was pretty hard for me to sing it, but it was a challange. The 1st version was vocally my worst song, I guess. But then, later, when we were not under pressure, we re-recorded it again and it all worked out really well. That version is up on my player. Andy wrote another cool masterpiece of music called 'Feel Good' (later re-named to 'Lunatic World'), which was supposed to be the name for our mutual online-album as I&SON&STARX. However, it was harder and harder to record anything. Our last song was called 'Run For Life'. Andy is a busy man with his job these days. I hope there'll be a chance to record something again in the future. He pushed my music to another level and now it looks like I gotta go back to level 1. It means, noisy songs and less quality. That's the case of 'I Will Carry You Home', the first song on my player. I tried something new - played my guitar, added harmonica and piano in to the background. I like that song. After my electro age, then pop age, this is again something new. If you call me 'the worst guitarist on Earth', then no problem. I know I'm not good at playing guitar. I'm only learning. You know, sometimes it sucks, 'cos I can write songs. That's a fact. But working alone, recording on my own... it's me, me & me. And my conditions for recording at home... horrible. I don't know my next plans. If there is any, at all. I only know I'll keep on recording my music, whether there is noise in the background or not. I'm only not sure, if this is the way, I planed to walk. The only question is: does my music make sense? I always wanted collaborations, just because of learning new things from other people. But here, in Slovakia, music bussiness is just sick. Radio's support only a few of them (let's just don't point out which ones, but I hate all of them, who are on heavy rotation), where there are NO SINGLE RELEASES, just songs and they are presented on radio's as 'singles', but in fact they're not... where making videos will never pay off, 'cos there's no place for them on our TV... the whole music scene in Slovakia is like a bad nightmare. Though, there are exceptions. So why should I try to do anything? Though, I want to. But it just doesn't make sense to me. Ok, so I am going to end this blog now. Yes, I will be recording new songs at home, but expect only my ideas, not the quality sound. Expect my visions, so to say. Thank God for the internet! ;-) Marek.

IS MY MUSIC UNIVERSAL???

Hi, everybody! I was looking through the list of my songs here on Revernation and came to an conclusion that I am open to any music genre. There is everything in my music... from waltz to pop, from pop to rock, from rock to ballads, from ballads to electro, from electro to reggae, from reggae to soul... If you ask me why... then the answer is simple: I'M DOING MUSIC. And music is all... I still think that there is no bad music genre - there's only a good or a bad song. Nothing more. I've had so many musical influences that writing only pop or only electro wouldn't be enough for me, because I LOVE MUSIC!!! Recently, it happened that I brought tears to the eyes of two people listening to my recording (a birthday special). I'd never thought something like that would happen... And your comments still give me the courage to improve my voice and music technically. So I am familiar with all music genres, unless a song makes sense... I am open to you all of you and am very thankful to be a part of the wonderful ReverbNation family. It feels like home. New songs, soon! ..and thank you! ;-) Marek S.

I NEED TO TELL YOU THIS....

Hello all! It's almost midnight here in my country and I've just finished watching some great music on youtube. Maybe I don't look like that, but I've just watched a blues video. The best I've ever seen. Ofcourse with one of my all time favourite female singers. And I realize how beautiful and emotional music can be. That's why I would like to thank all of you, for becoming my fans and all the wonderful and supportive messages and comments. I know I'm not that good at singing and I need to learn much more about it. But that's what life is about. Never stop learning! Once you get to the point, when u tell yourself you don't need to learn anything anymore is your dead! And I hope I'll get better and improve all I want to improve. YOU ALL ARE VERY WELCOME, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. :-) Best regards; Marek.

A HUGE THANK YOU TO MY FANS!

Hi, I need to do this: THANK YOU, MY FANS for your unbelievable comments on my music and very surprisingly on my vocals! It feels like heaven! I just never dreamed about reading such great comments on my ReverbNation profile. Like the comments saying my vocals blew you away... That's really nice to hear and it gives me the power and courage to try harder and get better. All your words on my music mean very much to me. I promise I won't disappoint you in near future and that I come up with songs, you will enjoy as much as you enjoyed Night So Long or Natural. All for you! THANK YOU!!! ;-) Marek.
